When do beach boxes go on sale?
Booking for beach boxes opens on the first Friday of December at 9AM. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis, and are not held for existing customers. Make sure you are subscribed to our email list and check our website for updates.
How long does the season run?
Our season starts on Memorial Day weekend and ends around the third week in September.

Steger Beach Service offers daily, short term, and seasonal beach equipment rentals both on the beach and online. Book a reservation for the duration of your vacation, and have the convenience of chairs, umbrellas and more waiting for you at the beach each day. Just check in at the closest Steger Beach concession stand, and our friendly staff will set your rentals up at the beach location of your choice."

While we strive to fulfill each request we receive for the specific placement of your box on the beach, we cannot guarantee the placement of any individual beach box in your chosen beach plot. Once the boxes are placed on the beach, we ask that every customer refrain from attempting to move beach boxes. Box placement is determined by our staff, and once they are placed on the beach they must remain in the same space unless moved to another beach..

We have 11 Beach Stands throughout the Cape May beaches. Check our map to see which is close to you.
No rentals are available at our office located on Sunset Blvd.

Yes our concession stand workers will bring down and set up all of your rented chairs and umbrellas.

Yes, we offer a full daily service at 11 of our locations across the beachfront. check our map to see which one is the closest to you.

Our beach boxes measure 48” long, 26” wide, and 33” high.

Our cabanas and boxes are designated by name plates so check-in at a concession stand is not required. Your box or cabana will be waiting for you at the beach location you have requested, designated by a red or yellow nameplate with your chosen text.

We recommend a sturdy key lock for your beach box. Combination locks are not recommended due to the sand and sea salt.

All you have to do is get you beach card from the front desk, walk down to your designated beach and our staff will set you up with the designated amount of chairs and umbrellas for your room.

It is very rare that we will sell out of any item but in the event we do we remain vigilant looking for empty setups that can be rented again. If we do sell out we tent to have stock back quickly.

We reserve the right to close due to any inclement weather (fog, rain, thunder, etc.) especially when lighting is close due to the Cape May Beach Patrol closing the beaches entirely.

We kindly request that you ensure your beach boxes are completely and thoroughly cleared between September 15th and September 21st. If your box is not cleaned out, we will remove your items and hold them briefly.

We deliver to Cape May and Cape May Point. We do not deliver to any off island location.

The Beach Taggers handle all beach wheelchairs, contact them to get a hold of one.

Yes, our cabanas are firmly dug into the sand to ensure they are secure and sturdy.

Stegers Beach Service does not provide any additional items with your chair or umbrella rental.

Our system as a two day buffer to ensure we are able to fulfill all of our orders. If you'd like to book items today head down to one of our 11 stands.

Rentals can be canceled up to 48 hours in advance of the starting date of your reservation for a 100% refund.
